TRIANGLE ARTS MACON

Triangle Arts Macon is following up our first two successful Second Friday openings with Georgia’s only Drive Thru Art Gallery Opening on Friday, November 13th from 6 to 9pm. This month we are featuring the artistic genius of Kevin Scene Lewis and Johnny Mo. Kevin recently moved to Warner Robins and has burst upon the art scene here in Middle Georgia. Johnny Mo is already a local icon in his own right, well known to many Maconites not only for his artwork, but for his production of numerous successful art shows and festivals here. We are thrilled to have both of them represented at this show. All their artwork will be for sale – CLICK HERE for a show guide and details about how to purchase any of the individual pieces on display.

Also, we will be offering something completely different in our Quonset Hut. We have nearly 1000 “Everblocks” – think “Lego Blocks”, only a foot long. We will be assembling these in the Quonset Hut and can use some serious help. We are looking for a few great designs – so if you think you are clever enough to build something trulky remarkable, bring it, baby…

And finally, we are pleased to announce our first ever Children’s Art Show, in partnership with the Museum of Arts and Sciences and Springdale Elementary School art teacher Cindy Quan-Hong. In addition to being named one of Georgia’s “40 under 40” this year, she is an amazing teacher who is always looking for more experiences for her students. We are hosting her students in a juried show judged by our own Colin Penndorf, also the Director at The 567 Center for Renewal downtown. The show will be housed in our “Wunderkammer”, the shipping container gallery donated to us by the Museum of Arts and Sciences.

So, come down to see our featured artists – or the work of a number of street artists who have helped us build Middle Georgia’s largest collection of street art – from the comfort (and safety) of your own car. There are no bathrooms or facilities available at this time, though we will have water and merchandise for sale. Thanks in advance for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you.

Only one ticket per car is required. And we also take donations as we continue to build out the facility and add more infrastructure and opportunities for creative expression. Please check our website from time to time as we are in the process of a complete rebuild. And please thank our co-sponsors for their amazing support in producing this exhibit:
